A successful first open house was held yesterday. Builders, vendors, Realtors, and the public were able to meet and learn of the products used in the construction so far.

iLEVEL by Weyerhaeuser was on hand and Jay and Brian were exceptional in teaching of their lumber products used. I was impressed with the company Weyerhaeuser and their stewardships to environmentally respsonsible business practices. They are also the largest land owners in NC making their products within the 500 mile distance for green building points.

In addition, Peter Biller from Superior Walls was on hand to explain the installation of the foundation. A time-elapsed presentation showed everyone just how quickly these foundations are installed. This homes foundation was set in 6 hours.

Both of these products allow Built Right Custom Homes to gain points for green certification. These are considered green products for many reasons. Waste reduction, indoor air quality, local companies, and more.
